First Haircut!

Yesterday was a big day for the Brigade . . . it was the day we took the boys for their first haircuts. We'd received several recommendations for "Miss Ginger," Baby Stylist to the Stars and she was really great with the boys. Here's the visual story:

First up (and the primary reason for these haircuts) was Noel, who was sporting a mighty curly mullet (a curlet, if you will)...here he is showing it off for you and the camera:














The haircut itself will not go down as one of Noel's favorite experiences . . . we tried videos, songs, and puffs, all to no avail . . . some big, big tears rolling down these cheeks (we think it was the loss of the curlet).

























And here's the finished look . . . cute look. He's definitely ready for his 12 month (er . . . 13 month) photo shoot!

Next up was Ethan, who we weren't sure qualified as "ready" for his first haircut. Miss Ginger felt otherwise, so we pushed forward.

Ethan was a total champ in the chair . . . really didn't seem to mind being bound and maneuvered by Miss Ginger.

And here is Ethan's "after" picture . . . nothing too dramatic, but definitely a little tidier.

Noel Month 12

Noel is so adorable and always happy go lucky. However, we've failed as parents in the hair maintenance department. He's bordering on a mullet in the back and whispies in the front. we've got a haircut scheduled for next week and we'll post the adorable results. Never to fear, though, the curls will remain, just....under control.

Ethan Month 12

We made it through 12 months of photos and it's really quite neat to see them grow so much. There are months with relatively few changes and then months where it looks like another baby completely. Ethan looks like such a little boy now, especially with his big boy shoes on.

While it was a fun project to take on for the first year, we're kind of glad it's over as it's nearly impossible to get them to sit still for more than 5 seconds these days.
